After their performance at the opening of “There is a Crack in Everything“, Prinz Gholam return to the museum for a second performance on Wednesday, October 22nd, starting at 6:30 PM. This time, the prologue gives way to a new « appearance » titled « You Never See Yourself », where improvisation, bodily memory, and ephemerality intertwine.
Their work revolves around a duo-based scenario. They wear hand-drawn masks—oval paper cutouts with eye openings—layering invented faces onto their own, creating fleeting projections. Throughout the performance, they generate images and configurations they never see themselves. Playing with rhythm, they use their bodies as living sculptures, shifting between presence and disappearance, dramatic and whimsical. Drawing from historical references while anchoring themselves in the present, their bodies and masks become tools to shape fictions.
Program:
- 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Talk and guided tour of the exhibition with curators Martin Germann and Barbara Cuglietta
- 8:00 PM: Start of the performance “You Never See Yourself”
- 9:30 PM: Closing of the doors
Admission: €7 (payment on site).
