Illusive Bodies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Het Joods Museum van Belgi\u00eb presenteert in haar Project Space de schilderijen van Shoshana Walfish (\u00b01988), een Canadese kunstenares met basis in Brussel. &nbsp;De tentoonstelling bestaat uit twee delen en focust op haar onderzoek over de representatie van het vrouwelijk lichaam. Verankerd in de klassieke picturale traditie, vari\u00ebren haar werken in grootte en stijl, van sculpturale figuratie tot figuratieve abstractie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shoshana Walfish bevraagt het idee van de vrouw als object en van objecten als vrouwelijk lichaam. Tussen surrealisme en het absurde onderzoekt ze de blik, het tot object herleiden en ook de verhalen uit de (kunst)geschiedenis. In een tweede serie verkent ze de weelderige, esthetische toespelingen die geassocieerd worden met lichaamsdelen, om zo verbanden te leggen tussen lichamelijkheid, de natuurlijke wereld, wetenschap en
