Call for Contributions \u2013 Mus\u00e9on 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mus\u00e9on, the journal of the Jewish Museum of Belgium, is calling for contributions for its next issue, to be published in September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2009, the journal has welcomed research devoted to the history, cultures, and expressions of Judaism, provided that contributions maintain an explicit connection with the museum\u2019s collections, archives, heritage, or missions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The September 2026 issue takes as its starting point the transformation of the museum, currently closed for renovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This period of transition is understood as a time of research, reflection, and projection. How does a museum, in a moment of transition and renewal, rethink its concrete practices in response to contemporary challenges? How does it question its narratives, its heritage choices, its place within Belgian society and within Jewish worlds?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transformation is understood here as an ongoing process, through which the museum\u2019s future orientations gradually take shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contributions engaging with these questions, directly or indirectly, are particularly encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This thematic focus is not exclusive. Mus\u00e9on also welcomes proposals based on the study of the Jewish Museum of Belgium\u2019s collections and archives, as well as on the contextualization of Jewish heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Maximum 40,000 characters (including spaces and notes)
\u2022 Minimum two illustrations per article
\u2022 Abstract (max. 500 characters)
\u2022 Short biographical note (max. 400 characters)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
